In the second quarter of 2025, the gacha game market in South Africa showed intriguing trends across the top five applications on a unified platform. According to Sensor Tower, these games demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Last War:Survival, developed by FUNFLY PTE. LTD., experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at around $30.5K in late April. Downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 8.9K in early April and dropping to 3K by the end of June. Active users also saw a decline from 26.1K to 20.3K over the quarter.

EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer by Electronic Arts demonstrated robust performance, with weekly revenue reaching as high as $19.7K in late May. The game maintained strong download numbers, starting at 30.2K and ending at 30.8K. Active users increased significantly, growing from 329K to 485K by the quarter's end.
